Tomorrow we celebrate Resurrection Day! I am amazed, overwhelmed by God's amazing grace and mercy displayed on the Cross. Last night we had the privilege to play at Metro's Good Friday service and got to hear 7 small messages on the 7 words of Christ on the Cross. Absolutely fantastic. To me, one of the most powerful points made was when Jesse was talking about the people mocking Christ for not saving himself, and he made the point: "Christ was not unable to save himself - he was unWILLING to" Oh man! How good is our savior! How wonderful and merciful and unfathomable is his love for us! Even now as I write this I am affected... and cannot wait to celebrate our savior tomorrow!
This next week I'm adopting 2 baby rats!! Oh yes, you will see pictures of them. They're brothers, one is a blue-hooded dumbo eared, and the other is a tan standard eared. NO they are not feral. NO they are not feed rats. Rats are actually a common pet, and I'm getting mine from a breeder. I'm so excited!
So, some big news! This week I found out that I was accepted into UF!! So in the fall I shall be a gator, and the University of Florida - Department of Fine Arts - Sculpture studio shall become my new home for the next 2 years =) Also, we had a great time at our 2009 Student Art Show Gallery opening. I invited several of my friends, but then found out mom and dad invited a ton of people, so we had over 30 people from the church, haha. But it was really cool because my marionette won 1st Place, and my good friend won Best in Show. Pretty awesome.
